This site is co-ordinating a campaign to get people from across Ireland discussing ways that the current situation on our roads can be improved.
We’ve started by asking Irish bloggers to put posts on their own blogs, giving their ideas on their own blogs and getting their readers to comment.
Now we’re asking BeBo users to get involved too. Here’s what we want you to do:
- Write a post on your BeBo blog about road safety in Ireland
- Give your ideas on how you think things can be improved. All ideas are welcome, but the more original, the better
- Come back to this page, and put a link to your BeBo blog in the comments box
- We’ll add your suggestions to those we received, and use them to make part of our submission
- To stay in touch, add roadsafety as a friend in BeBo. The bebo address is roadsafety.bebo.com and the email address is roadsafety [a-t] roadsafetyblog.com
This project is about giving ordinary people, across Ireland, a voice. In particular, we want Young People to get involved, and to spread the word. We’ll be sending your views to the Road Safety Authority, The Minister for Transport, The Taoiseach, the Motor Industry and Insurance Bodies, and every single member of the Oireachtas.
If you take part, let us know, and tell your friends about this site - http://www.roadsafetyblog.com/
We’ve had a great reaction from the bloggers (here’s a list of some of the early participants), but we need more and more submissions.
On our roads, Young People are Killing Young People. This is our chance to try to make a difference.
Thanks,
Damien
